Better to have loved and lost than it is to have never loved at all?

As a kid growing up you are around your parents and brothers and sisters most of the time. But then you go to ur first day of shool and there you begin to make what you would call friends. They come over to your house and you play ghostbusters, or ninja turtles. you fight crime and in some guys cases they play house. But then one day your grandparents take you somewhere and soon you are surrouned by tons of barking and crying dogs a cats and they look at you and say pick one out. So you walk around this building looking for that perfect pet that only you can love. And you walk around trying to ignore most of the dogs faces because if it was up to you, you would take them all home. But then you look down in this pin and see a little black puppy running in circles and barking at you and just begging to play with you. So you stop and all of sudden you are leaving the building with a new best friend. You grow up as he grows up, you play with him, he has his favorite toys that you knickname the booball because your knickname for him was boo. or boosie boo depending on how you feel. He is the same dog from the first day you get him all the way through high school. You chase him down when he gets out of the fence and you freak out when he attacks a rotwiler being walked outside near your front yard. He was definately a fighter and the most loyal friend you have. he is there waiting at the bus stop when you get home because he got out of the backyard again and he walks you home, he is there when you do something stupid and get yelled at. He doesnt care, all he wants is affection and attention. when you get yelled at because your report card was below acceptable standard and ur in trouble and sad and mad at the same time, he doesnt care, he wants to play and wants your affection and you cant help but feel better because everytime you throw that ball he just brings it back for another toss. and When he tired he walks up and puts in head in your lap and gives you the look that only he can give and you realize what you have and that is a life long friend. you are there for him when he gets put in the pound because he escaped the backyard again and you know he walked right up to the animal control guy expecting a welcome and wanted pat on the head instead he gets thrown in the pound. And you are there for him when he gets hit by a car and you skip school to take him to the vet because the dick that hit him didnt even stop the car. And e is here for you when u graduate high school and come home late that night and he is there to congratulate you with a tail wag and need to put his head in ur lap and receive his long overdue attention. you spend just about everyday with him from second grade until you leave for college when you only see him for a few days a year now. And he slowly is getting older and you arent there to see him everyday and he isnt there to walk you from class. he gets to the point where he is too old to get off of the ground to use the restroom and you get a phone call telling you that your family is taking him to be put to sleep and you wont be there because you are 200 miles away at school. So you dont get the chance to say goodbye to the one you so welcomly said hello to 13 or 14 years ago. But to you he will always be that puppy in the pin in the pets incorporated warehouse that won you over simply by looking at you and baring at you. I Love you Rascal RIP my friend. Now you be back with your pink vollyball aka the booball.

PS: On the brither side of life my cousin is having a baby sometime in the next few days. his name is Gabe and he is the begginning of my football dynasty.
